1. Who we are

StratGenius is a strategic marketing and business growth consultancy based in Bengaluru, India. In this policy, "StratGenius", "we" and "us" mean [REGISTERED BUSINESS NAME], the business that runs stratgenius.com.

We decide why and how your personal data is processed, which makes us the "Data Fiduciary" under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

2. What we collect

Information you give us

• Contact form: your name, business name, phone / WhatsApp number, email, the service you're interested in and your message.
• WhatsApp, email or phone: your number or address and what you tell us in the conversation.
• If you become a client: the business information needed to deliver the work we agree on.

Information collected automatically — only with your consent

If you accept analytics or marketing cookies, the tools listed in section 4 collect things like pages visited, time on site, device and browser type, approximate location (city level), how you arrived (for example from an ad) and actions such as sending the form or tapping WhatsApp. If you don't accept, these tools do not load.

3. How we use it

• To reply to your enquiry and talk about how we can help.
• To deliver and manage services if you become a client.
• With your consent, to understand how the website is used and improve it (analytics).
• With your consent, to measure and improve our advertising on Google, Facebook and Instagram (marketing).
• To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We process your data on the basis of your consent, or for "legitimate uses" allowed under the DPDP Act — for example, when you voluntarily send us your details so that we can respond. We do not sell your personal data.

4. Cookies & tracking

When you first visit, we ask which cookies you're happy with. Strictly necessary storage is always on; analytics and marketing stay off until you say yes. You can change your mind at any time using Cookie settings, also linked in the footer of every page.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

5. Who we share it with

We share personal data only with service providers who help us run the business, and only what they need:

• Website hosting and email providers — to run the site and deliver your messages to us.
• Google (Analytics, Ads) and Meta (Facebook / Instagram) — only if you accept analytics or marketing cookies.
• WhatsApp (Meta) — when you choose to message us there.
• Specialist partners working on your project (for example, web developers) — only if you're a client and it's needed for the work.
• Authorities — where the law requires it.

Some of these providers may store or process data outside India. Where that happens, we rely on their contractual commitments to protect it, in line with Indian law.

6. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for up to [RETENTION PERIOD, e.g. 24 months] after our last conversation, unless you become a client. Client records are kept for as long as the relationship lasts and afterwards for as long as tax and accounting laws require. When data is no longer needed, we delete it.

7. Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you can:

• ask what personal data we hold about you and how it's used;
• ask us to correct, complete or update it;
• ask us to erase it, where we no longer need it;
• withdraw consent at any time — for cookies via Cookie settings, or by writing to us;
• nominate someone to exercise these rights for you;
• raise a grievance with us, and if it isn't resolved, with the Data Protection Board of India.

8. Security

We use reasonable safeguards — secure (HTTPS) connections, access limited to people who need it, and reputable providers. No system is perfectly secure, so please don't send sensitive information such as bank details or passwords through the website form.

9. Children

Our website and services are meant for businesses and adults. We don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us their details, contact us and we'll delete them.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our practices or the law change. The "Last updated" date at the top will always show the latest version.
